Police were called to a trailer along the 400 block of Hampshire Dr., in St. Albans Friday around 10:30 p.m. in reference to a report of a meth lab investigation.
According to police they received a tip from an anonymous caller saying that Larry Chapman and Randy Lunsford were allegedly cooking meth behind a burnt out trailer that was owned by Chapman.
When police arrived they found a third suspect identified as Joshua Matheny. During questioning, police noticed Matheny had black charcoal dust all over his hands.
During a search police walked behind the trailer and discovered numerous items used with the manufacturing of meth.
While police continued their search Chapman and Lunsford arrived on the scene, and police then noticed black charcoal on Lunsford's hands, believed to have been from the burnt trailer.
All three suspects were arrested and charged with attempt to operate a meth lab, conspiracy, and acquisition of precursors. All three suspects were taken to the South Central Regional Jail.
