One person arrested for vandalizing a church in Huntington, WV
St. Paul Church in Huntington, WV is vandalized after a man smashes front window and breaks in.
A church is vandalized in Huntington, WV and one person has been arrested.
David Alan Thompson was arrested and charged with breaking and entering after witnesses called the Huntington Police Department. Witnesses tell WOWKTV.COM they heard glass breaking at St. Paul Lutheran Church, located at 721 12th Avenue in Huntington, West Virginia.
According to police investigators with the Huntington Police, when they arrived at the church on the morning of October 19, 2013 they found that a glass door had been shattered.
Police say they searched in the alley behind the church and spotted Thompson throwing objects out of a second story window of the church. They went to the second floor to speak with Thompson but he barricaded himself inside a room on that floor.
Police were eventually able to talk him out of the room.
Thompson was then taken to a local hospital for cuts on his arm and has been transported to the Western Regional Jail.
The investigation remains ongoing at this time.
