AT&T collecting cell phones for soldiers at OH, KY and WV locations
Veterans Day is just around the corner and there's a simple way you can show support. AT&T's Cell Phones for Soldiers Program will accept you old cell phones to help service members keep in touch with family and friends back home.
"Any phone that you don't want to use any longer, restore it back to factory settings and bring it in the store to donate it to the cell phones for soldiers program. What that does is we send your phone to a third party vendor and they take the value of it and turn it into prepaid calling cards for our active military," said Dawn Pride, AT&T store manager.
You can drop off your phone at any AT&T location. "AT&T has always been a support for our service men and women so it's a big deal to have our customers know that when they update their devices they can trade in their phone," said Greg Keiling, AT&T store manager.
AT&T locations will be collecting phones through November 11, 2013. Also, AT&T recently announced efforts to recruit more than $10,000 veterans and their families as employees in the next five years.
