Robbery suspect in Pikeville, KY is arrested after he is caught on tape

Police were able arrest a robbery suspect after he was caught on tape pulling the cash out of a teller's drawer a convenience store. 

Gary D. Lowe of Shelbiana, KY was arrested and charged with 2nd degree robbery. 

According to Pikeville Police, around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, November 9th 2013 they received a call about a robbery at the Double Kwik located in the 1400 block of South Mayo Trail in Pikeville, Kentucky.

Investigators say Lowe dressed in camouflage entered the Double Kwik and asked the cashier for change for a larger bill. The cashier opened the drawer to get the change and he reached over the counter and grabbed the cash. Lowe then fled the store on foot.

Police used surveillance video confiscated from store cameras to arrest Lowe at the nearby Riverside Inn. 

The Pikeville Police department is still continuing their investigation at this time. Additional charges may be filed.
