Pittman sets career high as Marshall University gets win


Elijah Pittman scored a career high 35 points to lead Marshall to a 96-78 victory over UNC-Wilmington. Pittman hit eight 3-point baskets and the team went 11-19 from downtown. As a team the Thundering Herd shot 36-61 (.590).

Marshall had three other players in double figures on the night. Kareem Canty added a double-double with 19 points and 10 assists. 

The win snapped Marshall's two game losing streak. They are now 3-2 on the year. Marshall's next game is Tuesday, Nov. 26 against Western Kentucky University. Tip off is at 7:00 p.m.
