Posted: Updated:

Members of the VFW 1064 in Huntington, WV are collecting toys for children in the community this Christmas. Contributions to the cause are down from years past.

David Moske, Quartermaster for the post, said on average they try to collect toys for 150 children ages 0 to 15. They try to give each child several toys.

"Usually we have an ample amount of donations from the community," Moske said. "We have a small amount of donations compared to years before. We are in extreme need of more donations."

If you would like to donate toys to the VFW you can contact them by calling 304-751-2823.

They will be collecting toys up until December 21.

Toys may be dropped off at the Barboursville Kroger, the 5th Avenue Kroger in Huntington, WV or the 5th Avenue Chase Bank in Huntington, WV. Financial contributions can also be made at the 5th Avenue Chase Bank.
