Marshall University's Jeremiah back in uniform for bowl game
When Marshall's senior defensive lineman Jeremiah Taylor takes the field on December 27th in the Military Bowl against Maryland, it will be the first time he's played in a game in nearly fifteen weeks. That's because after leaving the game against Ohio University on September 14th, it was later discovered he suffered a fracture of the L5 disc in his lower back.
During the time away from football he leaned on his wife.
"She had my back from day one, she's my biggest supporter. I really needed it at that time, and to have that support helped," said Taylor.
Now, cleared for practice and to play, Taylor is ready to go. He admits his comeback has been difficult, but it will all be worth it on game day.
"Just thinking about having one more opportunity, being tired all that leaves your mind, you just focus on being with your teammates one more time."
