One male is in jail after an attempted burglary in Chllicothe, OH.
According to a news release issued by the Chillicothe Police Department, it occurred at a house at 164 Plyley's Ln. shortly before 1 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 15. The call came in to police about suspicious people attempting to break into the house.
When police arrived on the scene, they saw suspects matching a description leaving the house on foot.
According to the news release, one of the suspects was tracked to a storm drain in front of 1216 Porter Dr.
After hiding from police in the storm drain for 90 minutes, which involved pepper spray being sent into the drain, as well as a moderate amount of water being flushed into the drain, the suspect, identified as Blake A. Sherrick, 20, gave himself up to police.
Sherrick is being charged with criminal trespass and obstructing official business. His arraignment is scheduled to be at the Chillicothe Municipal Court at 9 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 16.
Any information about the other suspect(s) is not yet known.
