Police searching for male who robbed pizza place in St. Albans, WV

According to a news release issued by the St. Albans Police Department, the robbery happened at 9 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

The news release says the male suspect placed an order, and while the staff member was in the back preparing the food, the suspect opened the cash register and stole most of the cash, and fled the scene in a car headed west on US 60.

According to the news release, the suspect's car is described as a Mini-Cooper, either white or silver with a large blue racing stripe running along the middle of the hood and roof.

The suspect is described as a white male in his 30s, with short & light colored hair, wearing a white or light gray t-shirt, about 5'10, weighing 140-150 lbs.

Police are on the lookout for a male who robbed a pizza place in St. Albans, WV.

According to dispatchers, it happened at Lorobi's Pizza, at 2412 MacCorkle Avenue, at 8:38 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 22.

Dispatchers say a white male, wearing either a white or gray hoodie, reached into a cash register, took an unknown amount of money, and fled the scene in a light colored MINI Cooper.

The suspect did not appear to have a weapon.

No injuries were reported.

The St. Albans Police Department is investigating.
