Several boil water advisories have been issued for areas of Charleston and South Charleston, WV.
According to West Virginia American Water, due to multiple water main breaks, a boil water advisory has been issued for 1000 customers in the Rockcrest Drive and Chestnut Street areas of South Charleston. The affected area include: Rockcrest Drive, Princess Drive, Village Drive, Ridgewood Road, Lincoln Drive from Pike Street to Upton Avenue, Bridgeview Drive, Cobb Street, Hollyberry Lane, Greenland Circle, Ivywood Lane, Peachtree Lane, Wilson Avenue, Pike Street, Ridge Drive, Dominion Way, Knob Way, Shady Way, East Village Drive, Chestnut Street from Spring Hill Avenue to Hudson Valley Road, Hickory Street, Garnas Lane, Little Creek Park, Christa Circle, Ronald Drive, Fairview Acres, Airport Road, Oak Tree Lane, Myrtle Tree and Pleasant Valley Road.
A boil water advisory was also issued for 200 customers living in the Upper Edgewood area of Charleston. This affects the Edgewood Country Club, as well as the areas of Gilbert Road, Viewmont Drive, Summit Lane, White Oak Drive, Woods Road, Stonewall Drive, Edgewood Drive from Cato Golf Course to Woodsview Heights Road, and Baker Lane.
Another boil water advisory was issued for 200 other customers living in Charleston, WV, which include Richmond Elementary, and the areas of Spring Hill Avenue, Wilson Street, Country Club Blvd, Meadow Drive, Marlanka Lane, Normar Road, Blue Sky Drive, Parkview Drive, Messenger Lane and Chittum Lane.
West Virginia American Water reports of another boil water advisory affecting 75 customers living in the area of Mill Creek Road, from Rt. 114 to Windsor Drive.
People living in these areas are being asked to boil water for at least one minute, before consumption, until further notice.
