A train derailed in Greenup County, KY on Monday, Feb 10.
Five cars went off the tracks around 8:45 p.m. according to the South Shore, KY Fire Department who responded to the scene.
The CSX train was carrying "denatured alcohol" which is also referred to as ethanol or ethyl alcohol. It can't be consumed because an additional chemical has been added to it.
The chemical does not pose a threat to residents who live in this area according to the South Shore Fire Department. There was no call for evacuations by fire officials.
There were also no reported injuries as a result of the derailment.
A CSX crew from Barboursville, WV is headed to scene to get the train back on the tracks.
