Two men arrested in Boyd County, KY for stealing metal I-beams estimated to be worth $50,000, third on the run
Boyd County, KY Deputies say two men are behind bars for stealing "metal I-beams" from a homeowners property. A third man is on the run.
According to a news release, Grant Meadows, 37, of Cannonsburg, KY and Kenneth Blevins, 45, also of Cannonsburg have been charged with theft by unlawful taking. Both men have been booked into the Boyd County, KY Detention Center.
Meadows and Blevins were caught stealing metal from Bert Patton's home located at 15300 St. Rt 180 in Cannonsburg, KY behind the Flying- J.
Deputies say Patton caught the men loading "metal I- beams" on to a truck. Patton called 911 on Tuesday, Feb 11 just before 4 p.m. Deputies arrived at Patton's home and arrested both Meadows and Belvins.
The third suspect, Jonathan Mills, fled the scene and is still on the loose.
According to Boyd County Sheriffs Deputies the thefts had been going on for several days. Patton, the homeowner and victim, told deputies the " metal I-beams" had an estimated value of $50,000.
The investigation is continuing.
