Greenbrier Street at Rutledge Road in Charleston has reopened following an accident involving a power pole Thursday, Feb. 13.
Power has also been restored to the area.
Weather is believed to be a factor in the crash.
Crews are on the scene of a single vehicle accident in Kanawha County, WV.
According to crews at the scene, it happened at the 1500 block of Greenbrier Street at Go Mart in Rutledge shortly after 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 13.
Crews say the vehicle hit a power pole, cutting it in half, which caused power lines to be on the roadway. The driver was taken to the hospital with only minor injuries.
According to crews, the roadway will be shut down until they can clear the scene.
AEP is on the scene, in which they shut down the power shortly after 11 p.m., so that the pole can be reset, which affects 732 customers. Crews say the estimated completion time for the power restoration could be at least four to six hours.
