Wanted fugitive in custody; arrested after traffic stop in St. Albans school zone

A wanted fugitive is in custody after authorities said his vehicle was pulled over in school zone.
An officer with the St. Albans Police Department initiated the traffic stop around 8 a.m. Friday, according to press release issued by the department. Officers said he was speeding. The stop took place in the school zone of Central Elementary School.
The officer ran a check of the driver, 24-year-old Raymond Z. Brainard. That check revealed that he was wanted in Athens County, Ohio for aggravated possession of drugs.
Brainard was arrested and is being held at South Central Regional Jail pending extradition proceedings.
