Former Danville C Team Coach arrested on sexual abuse charges
DANVILLE, WV -
A former coach of the Danville Panthers Midget Football League, Dusten Crupe, is facing first degree sexual abuse, third degree sexual assault, and soliciting a minor using Facebook.
Detective Lieutenant Joshua A. Weagel with the Boone County Sheriff's Office reports Crupe admitted to receiving nude photos of a female between the ages of eleven to fourteen.
Investigators tell us they started to look into the case back in the fall of 2013 when the girl's parents notified the police.
Crupe also admitted to having sexual contact with this female on at least six different occasions.
Jenni McCloud, President of the Danville Panthers Midget Football League, confirms that Crupe coached five and six-year-olds last year, however he was going to be a board member this year instead of coaching.
"Our league is close, family like. It's hard thing to deal with. It's hard questions to answer," said McCloud.
Upon release from jail, he will be served a letter of dismissal.
He can not be part of the league due to these charges.
