An Ohio man has admitted to conspiring to distribute heroin, U.S. Attorney Booth Goodwin reports.

Christopher Swann, 23, admitted that he and others traveled back and forth between Ohio and Charleston and had purchased heroin for resale in Charleston.

Swann, indicted on one count of conspiracy to distribute heroin, is scheduled to be sentenced June 18. He faces up to 20 years in prison, a $1,000,000 fine and at least three years of supervised release.

Swann's case was investigated by Charleston Police Department's Special Enforcement Unit.

In other cases:

  • A federal grand jury in Charleston returned a three-count indictment against Marion Alonvo Felder, Upper Sandusky, OH, for allegedly dealing heroin in Parkersburg over a one-month period beginning in September.
  • The grand jurors also returned a two-count indictment against Keith Irons, 25, of Marion County, OH, charged with dealing heroin in Parkersburg in October.

If convicted, Felder and Irons each could face up to 20 years in prison on each count.

Their cases were investigated by Parkersburg police and the Parkersburg Violent Crime and Narcotics Task Force. Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua Hanks is handling the prosecution.
