According to a news release issued by the Cabell County Sheriff's Office, 32-year-old Peter Martin King- Howard was arrested on a murder warrant in a fatal stabbing case in Huntington, WV that occurred on March 26.
Howard was arrested in Rush, KY by the United States Marshals CUFFED Task Force and was charged with being a fugitive from justice.
Howard was taken to the Carter County Jail, and was extradited back to WV to face the charge of murder.
Police have issued an arrest warrant for a suspect in a fatal stabbing that happened in Huntington, WV on March 26.
Peter Martin King-Howard, from Detroit, was identified as a suspect in the case, according to a release from the Huntington Police Dept.
King-Howard has been staying with a woman in the Huntington area.
Huntington police have confirmed that the victim in the stabbing has died. Detectives say the victim has been identified as 38-year-old Christopher A. Crawford.
According to a news release issued by the Huntington Police Department, units responded to 3rd St. W. and the 6 1/2 alley where they found Crawford lying on the side of the street unresponsive, suffering from several stab wounds.
Crawford was taken to Cabell Huntington Hospital, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
According to the news release, the suspect was described as a black male, 6'2", with a heavy build, and dark skinned, wearing a dark jacket, jeans, and tennis shoes.
The news release says the suspect fled east down the 6 1/2 alley prior to officers' arrival on the scene, and that a preliminary investigation indicates that both the suspect and Crawford were riding in an car, which was at the scene, and that an altercation broke out between them, at which point Crawford was stabbed.
The news release goes on to say that police believe this incident was drug related.
No arrest has been made, but according to the news release, investigators are following several leads and hope to have a suspect soon.
Police say that a man suspected in the stabbing is likely in east Huntington.
The victim, police say, was stabbed in the torso but remained conscious. The woman driving the car stayed at the scene and is talking with police.
The woman told police that she picked up both men at McDonald's and was driving when the stabbing happened.
One person has been hurt and another is on the run after a stabbing in Huntington, WV.
The stabbing happened near the intersection of 7th Avenue and 3rd Street.
The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment. Witnesses at the scene say the victim was stabbed several times while in the back of a car.
Police are searching for the suspect.
