Chemical plant employee dies in accident in Scioto County, OH
An employee at a chemical plant in Scioto County, OH died in an accident while on the job Friday night.
According to a news release, this happened at the Haverhill Chemicals plant at 10:30 p.m.
According to the news release, on-site emergency response team members responded to the accident and provided treatment to the victim following the company's strict chemical exposure procedure, and until first responders arrived and took the victim to the hospital.
The victim's name is not yet known.
No other injuries were reported, and according to the news release, no one outside of the plant was in any danger during this incident.
The cause of the accident is not yet known and is under investigation by the company.
We called both the Lawrence County and Scioto County Sheriff's Offices. Both told 13 News they are not investigating at this time.
