Janitor accused of stealing pills from Logan County, WV doctor's offices
Troopers with the Logan County detachment of the West Virginia State Police arrested a man Monday, April 14 after an investigation into thefts from local doctor's offices.
No word yet on which offices were involved.
Troopers said James Kirkendoll was taken into custody around 6:30 p.m. Kirkendoll works for a company called Mutters Office Cleaning in Logan County, troopers said.
According to troopers, they received a tip that Kirkendoll was in possession of stolen property. As a result, they applied for a search warrant.
Troopers executed that search warrant at Kirkendoll's Verdunville home around 6 p.m. and recovered stolen prescription medication, controlled substances and at least one stolen gun. Troopers also located nearly a dozen other guns, they are in the process of determining if those firearms are stolen.
Troopers also recovered a stolen chainsaw inside Kirkendoll's home.
This investigation is ongoing, and troopers ask that if you have any information on this case, that you contact your local detachment of the West Virginia State Police.
