Carol Fulks, executive director of the West Virginia Hospitality & Travel Association, has been re-elected chairwoman of West Virginians for Better Transportation.
Kenny Perdue, president of the West Virginia AFL-CIO, was elected first vice chairman. The board also elected as officers Bob Orders of Orders Construction is the organization's new second vice chairman.
Joe Deneault of HTNB was elected treasurer and Bill Hilborn, secretary Robert Morris, executive director of the Randolph County Development Authority, was elected to the organization's board while Fulks and seven others — John Boyle of Mountaineer Contractors, Rodney Holbert of Mid-Ohio Valley Chamber of Commerce, Charles Lanham of Ohio Valley Bank, J.D. Morgan of Frostline Consulting, Jeff Perkins of Boxley Materials, Marc Meachum of the Greater Bluefield Chamber of Commerce and Jan Vineyard of the West Virginia Trucking Association/OMEGA – all were re-elected to seats on the board.
West Virginians for Better Transportation is a nonprofit coalition that aims to educate West Virginians about the importance of maintaining a safe and modern transportation infrastructure. The statewide coalition includes more than 300 organizations, groups, government leaders and firms.
WVBT is spearheading "Keep West Virginia Moving," a statewide education campaign.
