Terry N. Porter
A Johnson County man is facing charges after troopers found him drunk and in a vehicle with stolen property.
Terry Neil Porter, 22, of Salyersville, is charged with second degree burglary, criminal mischief, possession of a controlled substance, promoting contraband and possession of burglary tools, according to a news release from the Pikeville Post of the Kentucky State Police. Troopers say they were called to a burglary complaint on KY 40 Friday, April 18 and began an investigation after several items were reported being taken from the home.
Later that afternoon, troopers say they were called to the scene of an intoxicated Porter sitting in a vehicle refusing to leave his location. Porter gave the officers permission to search his vehicle and upon doing so found the items reported being taken from the home on KY 40 as well as items taken from other homes in the area. Porter was taken to the Big Sandy Regional Detention Center.
