UPDATE: 3 abandoned kittens die after being left outside Kanawha County, WV grocery store; 1 survives
UPDATE: Kanahwa County Humane Association and the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee, an organization associated with Humane Association, say only one of the kittens found in a bag outside a Aldi grocery store in Kanawha County, WV has survived.
The other three kittens passed away. The surviving kitten "Kate" is with a foster family and appears to be doing better every day. There is still no word on who left the kittens outside the grocery or why. The investigation is ongoing
____ ORIGINAL: Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association officials say someone found a bag of kittens outside an Aldi grocery store in Kanawha County, WV.
One of the kittens later died but at least three other cats were rescued.
The cats have been taken to an area vet to be treated. They were flea infested and in very bad shape when they were discovered Monday morning. All of the cats appear to be doing better as of late Monday night.
Kanawha-Charleston Humane Association officials say they could use donations in order to continue to care for the kittens. You can call the Kanawha Blvd Animal Hospital at 304-343-3261 to donate money to the rescue cause for these kittens. You want to tell whomever you speak with that you are donating to the Itty Bitty Kitty Committee for "Aldi Babies".
