Police arrested a man in Lucasville, OH on multiple child porn charges.

According to a news release issued by the Scioto County Sheriff's Office, 30-year-old Chad Stump was arrested and charged with five counts of pandering sexually oriented matter involving a minor.

Police executed a search warrant Thursday, May 8, on Stump's home in Lucasville, after conducting a joint investigation on him, which involved Scioto County detectives, along with agents with the Attorney General's Crimes Against Children Unit, a division of the Bureau of Criminal Investigation, and the Scioto County Prosecutor's Office.

Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini released a statement saying:  “Crimes against children are among the worst crimes that we investigate, which is why we are very aggressive in combating these types of crimes.  This case remains under investigation, and more charges will be presented to the Scioto County grand jury on a later date.”

Attorney General Mike DeWine also released a statement saying:  “Those who share child pornography victimize the children in the images over and over again each time a picture is viewed or a video is watched.  Law enforcement agencies in Ohio work each and every day to identify those responsible for spreading child pornography, and I created the Crimes Against Children Unit so that the state can assist local agencies in stopping the victimization.”

The news release says Stump is being held on a $100,000 bond and is set to appear in the Portsmouth Municipal Court on Friday, May 9.
