Man arrested in Portsmouth, OH on outstanding warrant

CHARLESTON, WV -
A man is in jail after being arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Jackson, OH.
According to a news release issued by the Scioto County Sheriff's Office, 28-year-old Jason A. Oiler of Jackson, OH was arrested Thursday, May 1 by the Southern Ohio Drug Task Force, who was assisted by the patrol division of the Portsmouth Police Department.
The news release says the outstanding warrant issued for Oiler was for obstructing justice and resisting arrest. Oiler was located by police at a grocery store parking lot at the 2300 block of Gallia St. in Portsmouth, OH.
When police located Oiler, they found on him Oxycodone pills, over $1,500 in cash, and a substance that was believed to a drug known as bath salts.
According to the news release, Oiler was taken to the Scioto County Jail, where is being held until he appears in the Jackson Municipal Court.
The news release says Oiler will face criminal charges in SciotoCounty, OH once Oiler's case is forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutors Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury for the consideration of felony drug charges.
