Charleston attorney Larry W. George has been elected as a co-manager of Broun Properties by the owners of the company, which owns and leases coal, timber, oil and gas and other real estate holdings in southern West Virginia.
George is the principal in Charleston’s Law Office of Larry W. George. He will continue his law practice representing businesses and the owners of natural resource properties.
George has been in private law practice for more than 25 years. He previously served as commissioner of the West Virginia Division of Energy, deputy director of the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources and majority counsel of the state Senate. He is a member of the bar in West Virginia, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
George earned his law degree from West Virginia University in 1982. He completed his bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Virginia Tech in 1979.
