Their charges vary from public intoxication, open containers, as well as warrants that were issued.
According to the Charleston Police Department, who were the arresting agency, this is part of an effort to take back the downtown trouble spot.
Law enforcement wants to send out a warning that they will not tolerate public intoxication, harassment, or any other crimes. Police say the raids will continue throughout the summer as long as people continue to break the law.
The names of the people arrested are not yet known.
