UPDATE: Two men arrested in convenience store robbery near Chapmanville, WV

Two men were arrested in connection to a convenience store robbery near Chapmanville.

According to Trooper Perdue with the West Virginia State Police Logan Detachment, Jason Adkins and Shane Hensley, both from Chapmanville, were arrested Wednesday, July 16, for armed robbery, conspiracy to commit an armed robbery, and kidnapping.

Trooper Perdue says both Adkins and Hensley, who were armed with a gun and a knife, duct taped one of the store clerks and put them in another room.

Adkins was arrested at around 10 a.m. Wednesday on Route 10 in Kitchen, and Hensley was arrested at his residence in Big Creek, in Chapmanville.

Both are being held in the Southwestern Regional Jail.  Adkins' bond is $100,000.

Trooper Perdue says another arrest may be pending.



Police are searching for suspects in a robbery that took place at a 7-11 at about 4:30 a.m. on July 16.

The 7-11 is in Kitchen, West Virginia, which is located along Route 10 near Chapmanville.

The West Virginia State Police are investigating.
