Denver natural gas company to open transport facility in Parkersburg, WV

Concord Energy, a Denver-based natural gas and crude oil transportation company, has plans to open a new Utica and Marcellus condensate and natural gas liquid (NGL) truck to rail transload site in Parkersburg, the company announced July 11.

The new facility will allow Concord to transport more than 150,000 barrels of crude oil condensate and NGLs per month, allowing the company’s producer-customers to access premium downstream markets for condensate and NGLs, according to the announcement.

Additionally, the company said, the new terminal should reduce freight costs for operators in Southeast Ohio and northwest West Virginia.

The facility partners Concord with the Little Kanawha Railroad, and products loaded at the sire are then transferred and shipped long-distance via CSX Railroad, the announcement said.

Concord Energy is a wholly-owned affiliate of Concord Energy Holdings LLC.
