IRONTON, OH -
When a kid opens up a lemonade stand it's typically for the purchase of a new bicycle or some other prized possession. But for the past three summers one group of kids from Ironton, Ohio is taking the profits and giving it all to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital this weekend.
Maddy, Emma and Jack Whaley, Trent Hacker, Jordyn and Evan Koerper, Lexi Wise, Brayden Stamper, and Miles Thomas will all be at the Musicians Against Childhood Cancer bluegrass festival in Columbus, Saturday, to handover a $1,000 check.
The parents of the children say they couldn't be more proud of a group of kids who spend their summer break trying to help kids who don't get summer breaks. They say none of this would be possible without the community's support.
