Daniel Ward, 24, was indicted Wednesday, August 6, on murder and assault charges.
According to the Pike County Circuit Court, Ward was indicted on one count of murder, one count of attempted murder, and one count of assault.
Ward will be arraigned on August 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Pike County Circuit Court in front of Judge Coleman.
Ward is being held in the Pike County Detention Center.
Kentucky State Police (KSP) troopers from Post 9 are investigating a triple shooting that left one person dead.
The shooting happened in the Stone community of Pike County, Kentucky.
According to a news release issued by KSP, the three shooting victims were at a motorcycle club meeting on Sunday, July 27. Troopers say for some reason a man identified as Daniel Ward shot and killed 29-year-old Bradley Coleman. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Ward also shot two other unidentified people. They were transported to a local medical facility for treatment. There is no word on their condition, according to the same news release.
Ward tried to leave the scene after the shooting, but was caught by troopers. He is charged with one count of murder.
Additional charges against Ward are pending, according to the same news release.
KSP says the investigation is continuing at this time.
