We've got a lot of work to do to get our state's economy going strong, but we have to recognize success when we see it. The state privatized its workers comp program and created Brickstreet Insurance to facilitate the transition to the private sector. And it's clear the result is a stunning success. Premiums continue to drop, but what's truly amazing is the transformation. Quite simply, our workers comp system was broken. But now it's a model for other states. Government got out of the way, injected true competition and went a long way to creating a better West Virginia.
