UPDATE:

A tractor trailer carrying beer overturned in the southbound lanes of I-77 at the Paint Creek exit around 6:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

According to fire rescue crews from Kanawha County, West Virginia who responded to the scene one person was injured in the accident. The victim was taken to a local hospital to be treated. 

One of two lanes was closed so that emergency personnel could respond to the scene and clean up roadway.

The exact cause of the accident remains under investigation at this time.

Metro 911 dispatchers in Kanawha County, West Virginia say one person has been transported to a local hospital after a tractor trailer overturned around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. 

The accident occurred on  I-77 near the Paint Creek exit. One of two lanes southbound has been shutdown where the accident occurred so that emergency personnel can clear the roadway.

We do not know the extent of injuries to the injured individual. We have a crew on the way to the scene.
