Bradley Bennett, a 2014 Davis & Elkins College grad, has been appointed admission counselor at his alma mater.
He will represent the school at college fairs and high schools to seek out potential students and inform high school guidance counselors about the benefits of an education at D&E.
Bennett, who earned his bachelor of arts degree in political science at D&E, is pursuing a master's degree in legal studies at West Virginia University.
From 2008 to 2014, he served as a military police officer with the Army Reserve Military Police. He served in Iraq in 2010 and 2011, and earned a Joint Service Achievement Medal for Excellence.
A native of West Virginia, he is a 2009 graduate of Harman High School.
In other news from D&E, Juanita “Nita” Coleman has been appointed assistant registrar at the college.
Her work includes student registration, maintaining student records and helping students with a range of advising needs.
Coleman brings an extensive background in human resources and higher education administration. Most recently, she served as human resources administrator for JH Consulting.
From 2011 to 2013, she worked as the student and exchange visitor information system coordinator and assistant to the director at Fairmont State University.
In that job, she acted as a liaison to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, U.S. Department of State and U.S. Department of Homeland Security. Prior to that, she was the executive assistant to the president at Fairmont State.
She also has worked as the site human resources associate for Sodexo Management Services at Alderson-Broaddus College and as the office manager at Mountain State Inc.
Coleman holds a master of arts in communication studies with a focus on corporate and organizational communication from West Virginia University. She earned a bachelor of science in business administration with a concentration in human resource management from Fairmont State. She is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and NAFSA: Association of International Educators.
