Opponents to Mountain Valley Pipeline deliver petition to State Capitol
CHARLESTON, WV -
People opposed to the proposed Mountain Valley Pipeline (MVP) stood tall as the dropped off a petition Monday at the State Capitol.
Members of Moveon.org and property owners that will be affected by the proposed line hand delivered a petition to Governor Earl Ray Tomblin's office and legislative leaders.
"Essentially it's bringing to our new home everything we tried to escape from by moving here from California and making an not so unsubstantial investment in this state and I feel hurt, betrayed and honestly it's made me a nervous wreck, said Charleston resident Elisabeth Tobey.
The MVP would make its way through the eastern and southern part of the state if approved.
