Posted: Updated:

The nearly week long manhunt for a man who fired at police in Kentucky and Tennessee, has come to an end.  62-year-old Floyd Ray Cook was found near a home outside of Burkesville in Cumberland County, Kentucky just before 1:30 Friday morning.
Cook had a handgun and exchanged gunfire with two state troopers and a U.S. Marshal.
Cook died from his wounds at the scene.
No officers were injured.
Cook shot a Tennessee officer Saturday and fled to Kentucky where he exchanged gunfire with troopers, sparking the manhunt that closed schools in the area for 3 days.
Authorities have captured two of his associates early Thursday morning.
