WELLSBURG, W.Va. (AP) - Police say a West Virginia Division of Highways flagger was killed after she apparently fell under a pickup truck driven by another worker.
Media outlets report that the Brooke County Sheriff's Department identified the victim as 70-year-old Susan Custer of Wellsburg.
Sheriff's deputies told The Intelligencer and Wheeling News Register (http://bit.ly/1HIhuV9 ) that the DOH employee driving the pickup truck didn't see Custer and continued forward.
Custer was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
The accident occurred Tuesday in the area of State Route 88 and Willow Springs Drive.

Officials with the Brooke County Sheriff's Office and the Division of Highways are investigating a fatal motor vehicle accident.
According to police, 70-year-old Susan Custer of Wellsburg, WV, who was an employee of the Department of Highways, died as a result of the accident.
The accident happened on Willow Springs Drive in Wellsburg. Police say the incident involved a pick-up truck owned and operated by the Division of Highways.
Custer was transported to the State Medical Examiner office for further review.
No charges have been filed at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
