Black Eyed Peas Recipe
Salt and Pepper to taste(go light on salt because of hamhock and bacon)
Rinse the Black eyed peas and give a quick soak. Boil for two minutes and then let sit for 1 hour.
Put bacon and ham hock in hot pan and render out fat.
Add minced garlic.
Drain peas and put in pot with bacon and hamhock.
Cook on low for two hours.
