Greenbrier County's state representatives are back in place following the resignation of Senator Ron Miller. Miller stepped down from his position due to his appointment to Gov. Jim Justice's (R-WV) cabinet as agriculture liaison. That began the process of replacing Miller in the state senate that was eventually filled by Delegate Stephen Baldwin (D).
Baldwin's appointment led to another process to fill his seat representing District 42 in the House of Delegates. On Monday, Oct. 30, 2017, Gov. Justice announced he had appointed Jeff Campbell of Lewisburg to fill that seat.
Campbell has been a teacher in Greenbrier County since 2001. For the past nine years he has taught Social Studies at Eastern Greenbrier Middle School. He has also been a radio broadcasters for 33 years and the statistical coordinator for WVU football broadcasts for the past 29 years.
"I am humbled by this appointment from Gov. Justice and look forward to representing the citizens of this district in the House of Delegates," said Campbell.
